Data Centers
Liquid cooling loops where every formed end is a joint that can't leak, and the volume ramps faster than most supply chains can follow.
Tube Forming Built for Liquid Cooling at Scale
Wauseon TubeTech forms the copper and stainless steel tube that carries coolant through data center cooling equipment. We develop the tooling in house, prove it on our own machines, and hand you a process that holds the same endform on part ten thousand that it did on part one. That matters when every connection in a rack has to seal.
Data Center Applications
A cooling loop asks the same thing of a tube end that any fluid system does. It just asks it thousands of times per hall, with a server rack on the other side of the joint. These are the areas we work in.

Coolant Distribution Units
- Supply and return line tube
- Beads and flares for hose and fitting connections
- Stainless steel and copper forming
Rack and Row Manifolds
- Manifold header and branch tube
- Reductions for stepped tube runs
- Formed connections in place of brazed fittings
Server Cooling Loops
- Cold plate supply and return tube
- Clean sealing surfaces on formed ends
- End finishing before assembly
Precision Cooling Equipment
- CRAH, chiller and in-row unit tube
- Rear door heat exchanger connections
- Bent and end formed tube in one process
Every Formed Joint Is a Braze You Don't Have to Make
In a data center, a leak isn't a warranty claim. It's coolant near live hardware. So a lot of liquid cooling work comes down to the connection: how the tube end is formed, how clean the sealing surface is, and whether the form holds from the first part to the last.
Forming a bead, flare or swage directly on the tube can take a brazed fitting (and the heat, flux and inspection that come with it) out of your line entirely. You get fewer joints, fewer steps, and a connection that repeats because the tooling makes it the same way every cycle. And when your program needs proof that it holds, capability studies are available on request.
Wauseon TubeTech has been forming tube for four decades.
Tube Forming Experience
Five endformer series, rotary roll and cut finishers, custom bending, and the tooling for all of it developed in house. Our applications team looks at your part before anyone quotes a machine, which is the difference between buying equipment and solving a forming problem.

Field Service & Lifecycle Support
Wauseon TubeTech machines are built to last decades, and so is our commitment to support them. A dedicated field service team handles preventive and general maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, retrofits, and spare parts across the full life of your equipment.
Let us talk about how we can support your current or future tube forming operation.
Tell Us What Your Cooling Loop Requires
Send us the print, the material, and the volume you're planning for. We'll look at the part before we talk about a machine, and you'll get a straight answer on the tooling, the process, and whether it makes more sense to run it in house or have us supply finished parts.

Frequently asked questions
What data center tube components does Wauseon TubeTech form?
Coolant supply and return tube for CDUs, rack and row manifold tube, server cooling loop tube, and tube for precision cooling equipment like CRAH units, chillers and rear door heat exchangers.
How is data center tube forming different from HVAC?
The forming process is the same. What changes is the fluid (usually water or water-glycol instead of refrigerant), the material, which is more often stainless steel, and the pace. Liquid cooling programs ramp fast, so the process has to repeat from day one.
What endforms are common in liquid cooling?
Beads for hose retention, flares, swages and expansions for tube-to-tube joints, and reductions for stepped runs. The right form depends on the fitting or connector you're mating to, so send the print and we'll recommend one.
Do you form stainless steel and copper?
Yes. We form stainless steel, steel, copper, brass, and other ferrous and non-ferrous tube. Tell us the alloy and condition, and we'll tell you whether we've formed it and what the tooling needs.
Can end forming keep up with data center production volumes?
Our standard machines are automation ready, and we build the robotic load and unload cells in house. If you'd rather not run it yourself, we can supply finished formed parts under a supply agreement.
What tube diameters do you cover?
Our standard equipment covers 3/8 inch to 3 inch tube. Custom machines handle sizes and forms outside that range.
How do you keep a formed sealing surface clean?
Through tooling design and end finishing. A burr or chip at the end of a tube is a contamination risk in a closed cooling loop, so we develop the tooling and the finishing steps together and prove them on our machines before you run production.
Can you support prototype and pilot builds?
Yes, and it suits us. We run short run forming on our own development machines, which works well when a cooling design is still changing and the volume doesn't justify a production line yet.
