What is critical component supply?

It is us owning the parts problem instead of your team owning it. We specialize in sourcing off the shelf and customized parts that are essential to your operation, and by managing the supply chain elements we help maintain your stock levels, hold down lead times, and streamline your procurement processes.

The reason it matters is that extended downtime is usually not a hard repair. It is a part nobody could get. A component with a fourteen week lead time stops a line just as effectively as a failed robot, and it is the failure mode that planning actually prevents.

The parts most likely to stop your line held in stock instead of ordered after they fail, either held by us for you or placed at your facility on consignment. Which parts belong there comes out of your equipment, your run hours, and what actually fails on that platform. The lead time still exists. It just stops happening during your downtime.

What if we do not know the part number?

That is most requests. Send a photograph of the component or its nameplate, the robot or machine make and model, and a description of where it sits in the cell. Our engineers work with this equipment daily, so identification is usually a short conversation rather than a research project on your end.

On systems we integrated, the build documentation and component lists are on file, which makes it faster still. On systems we did not, we have identified enough parts across enough platforms that an unfamiliar cabinet is not a dead end.

What parts can you supply for automated systems?

Off the shelf components and custom parts. Robot spares and wear items, drives, motors, sensors, safety components, pneumatics, grippers and end of arm tooling, vision components, and machined and fabricated parts specific to your cell. If it is part of an automated system, it is in scope.

Do you supply parts for equipment you did not build?

Yes. Much of what we source is for cells integrated by someone else. Send the part number, a photograph, or the machine and component details and we will identify it and tell you what the options are.

What is a stock program?

An agreement where the parts most likely to stop your line are held in stock rather than ordered when they fail. That can be stock we hold for you or consignment stock placed at your facility, depending on how critical the component is and how fast you need it in hand. Which parts belong in it comes out of looking at your equipment and history, not a catalog.

Can you supply a custom part?

Yes. Custom and machine specific parts are produced to print, whether the print is ours or yours, and machining is handled in house rather than sent to an outside shop. Obsolete components that are no longer available anywhere are a normal request.

How does this reduce our procurement work?

One request instead of several. We identify the component, source it, manage the vendors and the part numbers, and track the lead times. Your team places one order rather than chasing quotes across multiple suppliers for one machine.

Can you help us decide which spares to hold?

Yes, and it is worth doing before you need it. We look at your equipment, run hours, criticality, and what actually fails on that platform, then recommend what should be on your shelf and what can be sourced when needed.

Do you supply parts for tube forming machines?

Tube end forming, end finishing, and cutoff machine parts are supplied by Wauseon TubeTech rather than through this page. The equipment and the parts are different enough that they are handled by different groups.

What do you need from us to quote a part?

The part number if you have it. If you do not, the machine or robot make and model, a photograph of the component or its nameplate, and a description of where it sits in the system. A photograph of the failed part is often the fastest identification there is.
