including cells running robots from more than one manufacturer.

What does  maintenance and repair for automation cover?

Preventive maintenance is the scheduled side: robot and equipment PMs, programming and vision system updates, performance monitoring, and system health assessments. Corrective maintenance is the reactive side: emergency repair response, troubleshooting, and remote diagnostics when a line is down.

Both come from the same engineers, which matters more than it sounds. The person who does your PM already knows the cell when you call at six in the morning with it stopped.

Robot and Equipment PMs

Mechanical and electrical inspection, grease and oil replacement, battery replacement, controller checks, and inspection of the equipment around the robot. Fixtures, feeders, conveyors, and safety circuits are where wear usually shows first, so they are part of the visit rather than a separate one. Every visit ends in a written report, not a verbal handover.

Programming Updates

Robot programs accumulate patches. Over a few years that shows up as a slower cycle, inconsistent placement, or faults nobody can explain. We review and update programming so the system runs the way it was commissioned to run.

Vision System Updates

Vision drifts with lighting, lens condition, part finish, and material changes. Updating and re-validating the vision system is routine scheduled work on our visits rather than a separate project, which matters because a drifting vision system produces scrap and false rejects long before it produces a fault.

Performance Monitoring and System Health Assessments

A structured comparison of how the system runs now against how it ran at commissioning. Cycle time, fault frequency, wear, program condition, and safety function. This is how you find the second you lost per cycle eighteen months ago.

When the line is down

Downtime is the part of this business that gets judged in hours. Three things happen at once:

Remote diagnostics:

The fastest path to an answer. Over a VPN connection, through remote access you provide and control, or on the phone with your team at the machine, whichever your network allows. We read the faults and check the program and the conditions before anybody gets in a truck. A good share of calls end here.

Troubleshooting:
Not replacing what the fault code names, but finding what caused it. On automated cells the failing component is often downstream of the actual problem, and swapping it buys you a week.
Emergency repair response:
When it needs hands and eyes on the equipment, we deploy with the system history available and a written record of what was found and what was done.
You do not have to diagnose it before you call. Tell us what the system is doing and what it is holding up.

How It Starts

Every engagement starts the same way, because a plan built without seeing the equipment is a guess.

Step 1: - Assessment. We evaluate equipment condition, operating environment, usage patterns, and service history, on your floor.

Step 2: - Plan. Our field service engineers build a plan around your production schedule rather than a generic interval, so the work happens when it costs you least.

Step 3: - Execute. Scheduled visits, documented findings, and coordination with your team, with the record staying with the equipment.

Frequently asked questions

What does robot preventive maintenance include?

Mechanical and electrical inspection of the robot and the equipment around it, grease and oil replacement, battery replacement, controller checks, and a written report after each visit. On a cell rather than a standalone robot it also covers the fixtures, feeders, safety circuits, and the vision system, because those are what usually move first.

How often should robots and automated cells be maintained?

It depends on run hours, duty cycle, environment, and how hard the application works the equipment. A cell running two shifts in a clean environment is on a different interval than one running continuously in heat or dust. We set the interval from an assessment of your equipment rather than from a table.

What is a system health assessment?

A structured evaluation of how the system is running now compared to how it ran when it was commissioned. Cycle time, fault frequency, wear, program condition, vision performance, and safety function. It exists to find the drift that has not stopped you yet.

Can you diagnose a problem remotely?

In many cases, yes. Depending on what your network allows, that can be a VPN connection to the equipment, remote access you provide and control, or phone troubleshooting with your team at the machine. All three work, and all three are faster than travel. A good share of faults turn out to be a program version, a setting, a sensor, or a part presentation issue rather than a failed component. When it needs hands on the equipment, we deploy.

How quickly can you respond to a line down?

Remote troubleshooting starts as soon as we have the details, and it is the fastest route to an answer. If a technician needs to travel, we schedule as fast as the situation and travel allow and we tell you honestly what that looks like rather than quoting a number we cannot hold.

Do you service robots and cells you did not integrate?

Yes, and a large share of what we support falls into that category, often where the original integrator is no longer involved. Send the robot make and model, the controller, and a description of the cell, and we will tell you what we can cover.

Can you support a cell with robots from more than one manufacturer?

Yes. Multi robot support and mixed brand lines are normal work for us. Plants that added automation in stages usually end up with more than one platform on the floor, and it does not need more than one service relationship.

Do you provide operator and maintenance training?

Yes. On-site training is available for operators and maintenance teams, built around your equipment and your application rather than a generic curriculum. It is one of the few things that reduces service calls rather than responding to them.

Can you update robot programming or a vision system?

Yes. Programming updates, vision system updates, and performance tuning are part of preventive work rather than a separate project, as long as the change does not alter what the system is built to do. If it does, that is a retrofit.
