Tube end finishing prepares a cut tube end for whatever comes next. A rotary roll and cut finisher squares the end, trims it to length, removes the burr and the chips it leaves behind, and sizes the end so the following operation starts from a clean and consistent condition.
It is the operation people skip when they are trying to save a station, and it is usually the reason a forming die stops holding tolerance. The endform can only be as consistent as the end it starts from.
Every machine is designed for quick changeover and minimal downtime, and built to be robot loaded, so end finishing and end forming can run in one cell rather than as two separate manual operations. With the ability to be CE certified for sale into the European Economic Area, these machines fit all your needs.
Specs: Tube up to 3/4 inch. 2 ton tool close force, 1.5 inch maximum clamp opening, 4 to 15 second cycle. Available as the 21HY hydraulic model at 2.5 ton clamp force, or the 21EL electric servo model at 5.5 ton clamp force.
The workhorse of the range, and the only series offered in both hydraulic and electric servo. Choose servo when repeatability matters more than force, hydraulic when it is the other way around.
Specs: Tube up to 2 inches. Hydraulic. 6 ton tool close force, 8 ton clamp force, 2.25 inch maximum clamp opening, 4 to 15 second cycle. Model 26HY.
Three times the tool close force of the 2100 Series and a wider clamp opening to match, which is what larger diameter and heavier wall work needs. This is the machine for HVAC and off road line sizes.
Specs: Tube up to 3/4 inch. Pneumatic clamp and close, 1 ton tool close force, 2 ton tube clamp force, 4 to 10 second cycle, 115 VAC single phase.
Mechanically removes coating from the tube end before a forming operation such as a flare or quick connect, so the tool grips clean material and the sealing surface is not compromised. Runs on single phase power, which makes it easy to add to an existing line.
How you configure the operation depends on whether it sits next to the saw or next to the endformer. We build across the range:
Standalone finishing: One operation at an operator station. Straightforward, low capital, and the right answer when volumes do not justify automating.
Finishing paired with de-coat: For coated tube, where the endform will not hold reliably on a coated surface. Removing the coating mechanically first gives the forming tool clean material to work with.
Inline finishing and forming: Both operations behind one robot. This removes a handling step, and with it the variation that comes from a part being set down and picked back up between operations.

Deburring removes the sharp edge left by cutting. End finishing includes deburring but also squares the end, controls the strip length, and sizes the end to a tolerance. Deburring is one step inside end finishing rather than a substitute for it.
The 2100 Series finishes tube up to 3/4 inch and the 2600 Series finishes tube up to 2 inches. The 2100 Series is available in hydraulic and electric servo configurations.
End forming shapes the tube end into a feature such as a bead, flare, or quick connect. End finishing prepares the end before or after that by squaring it, trimming it, and removing burrs. Most production processes need both
Coating changes how the material flows and how the tool grips, which can leave you with an inconsistent form or a compromised sealing surface. Removing it mechanically first, with a machine such as the 21CS-EL, gives the forming tool clean material to work with.
Cycle rates run from 4 to 15 seconds depending on the model, the material, and how much material is being removed. Your part and your volume determine which end of that range applies.
Maximum strip length is 1.375 inches with deburr and 1.75 inches without. That figure matters because it has to match what your forming tool expects from the finished end.
